The mandolin shown below is a 2009 (serial num. 1018) left-handed R-5. It has several custom features to mention. First a very fancy carving pattern on the sides, back and neck, accentuated by contrasting shading in the stain. Gold hardware. A wenge fingerboard. Very nice curly maple. Single piece back.
